Klaipedos Smelte – Taking the next step

Klaipedos Smelte  – Taking the next step The container terminal Klaipedos Smelte (Lithuania) – part of the TIL group – is executing their growth strategy to become a major transshipment hub in the Baltic region handling almost 165.000 TEU per annum by 2015. After preparing over the last year for the further expansion and implementing the RBS TOPS system end 2010, the SMELTE container terminal is taking the next step.

Brasil Terminal Portuário (BTP), Port of Santos, Brasil

BTP, one of Brazil’s highest profile and most important port projects, mainly serves the Sao Paulo region, Brazil’s most populated city and the 7th largest city in the world. BTP is a fifty-fifty joint venture of Terminal Investment Limited (TIL) and APM Terminals. The BTP container terminal provides additional terminal capacity to the port of Santos, coping with recent bottle necks and shortages within the Santos terminal facilities.

Seayard Terminal – FOS2XL – Port of Marseille

Ideally located on the shores of the Northern Mediterranean Sea, with a natural deep draft access and multimodal connection links, France’s leading port, the Port of Marseille-Fos, is a natural gateway to the South and the center of Europe.

The Port of Marseilles-Fos handles bulk as well as containerized cargo, with the container operations centered at Fos-sur-Mer, 50 km (30 miles) North-West of Marseilles.

Lomé Container Terminal in Togo

Realtime Business Solutions (RBS) won a contract to implement its TOPS Advance TOS at the new Lomé Container Terminal (LCT) at the port of Lomé in Togo, managed by TIL and China Merchants.

LCT ordered the complete TOPS suite with foundation and operations system, web frontend and KPI tool. LCT expands the existing facilities of the harbor to enable large container carriers, up to 14.500 TEU to enter the port of Lomé and deploys state-of-the-art container handling equipment.

Seayard Terminal – FOS2XL – Port of Marseille

Taking the last step to a fully automated and safer truck process with CAMCO LSTP and RBS TOPS.The Seayard terminal operates on average 800 trucks a day – with peak traffic up to 100 trucks per hour. Supported by good and intelligent automation between the GOS and the TOS, Seayard has one of the lowest truck turnaround times in all of France with less than 30 minutes on average for the complete process.
